Laspina Cup - Rules

Rules (modified 8/14/00)

I. Points are awarded to all participants at each outing from April through October.

II. The organizer of each outing shall receive a bonus for each person who attends the outing.  For example if you plan the trip and 12 people golf, you get 12 extra points for that outing.

III. No single person will receive bonus points for planning more than one outing. (8/14/00 update)

IV. All participants are ranked by their final score from best to worst.  The golfer with the best golf score will receive the number of points equal to the number of golfers; the golfer with the second best score will receive points equal to the number of golfers minus one; etc....
For example, if 12 people golf the person with the best golf score will receive 12 points.  The person with the second best score will receive 11 points....the person with the worst score will receive 1 point.

V. Outings are considered "official" if 5 or more people of the group attend. and all are invited.

VI. In the case where someone only plays 9 holes of an 18 hole outing, their score will be doubled in order to tabulate points.  In the bonus points they will only be counted as 1/2.

VII. One mulligan per 9 holes is permitted.

VIII. The classic Worthington rules are not in effect (e.g. not taking penalty strokes if you lose a ball, and many other acts of complete anarchy on the golf course).
